Network Capacity and Redundancy Improvements
At LaGrange County REMC, we're continuing to enhance our broadband network infrastructure to ensure reliable and high-speed service for our members. We're excited to announce the addition of our third upstream internet provider, further bolstering the capacity and resiliency of our network.
Key Network Improvements:
- Diverse Provider Sources: We have carefully
selected from three different providers to ensure a diverse and resilient
network. This includes one originating from Indianapolis, and two from Chicago.
The use of multiple providers helps reduce the risk of network downtime due to
any single provider's issues.
- Routing Redundancy: We’ve made every effort to
route these connections into our headend room via diverse paths to minimize any
risk of shared failure points. While we do acknowledge that two of them may
share some common routing as they approach our headend, the overall design
maximizes reliability and ensures that we are prepared for unexpected
disruptions.
These upgrades are part of our ongoing commitment to
providing fast, reliable, and resilient broadband service to our customers. By
strengthening our infrastructure, we're ensuring that LaGrange County REMC is
well-equipped to handle increasing demand, and that our network can weather
potential disruptions without service interruptions.
Our final two zones, Emma and the Honeyville, Millersburg,
Topeka West zone are continuing with construction. Look for broadband
applications to open up in those areas shortly!
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas season!
