90 Years of Serving Our Community — and Looking Ahead

October is Co-op Month, and this year is especially meaningful as we celebrate 90 years of LaGrange County REMC.

For nine decades, our cooperative has been built around a simple idea: neighbors helping neighbors and working together to make our community stronger. When LaGrange County REMC was formed 90 years ago, rural residents came together to bring electricity to areas that traditional utilities were not serving. That same cooperative spirit continues to guide us today.

Our broadband network is a great example.

Just as electricity transformed life in rural LaGrange County generations ago, reliable high-speed internet is now an essential part of how our members live, work, learn and connect. Through LaGrange County REMC Broadband, we are continuing the cooperative tradition of investing in our communities and providing services that help our members thrive.

Today, thousands of local homes and businesses are connected to our fiber network. Whether you're working from home, attending a virtual class, streaming a favorite show, gaming with friends or simply staying connected with family, our goal is to provide the fast, reliable internet service our members deserve.

Ninety years ago, our members helped build the infrastructure that brought electricity to rural communities. Today, we are building on that legacy with fiber broadband.

As we celebrate Co-op Month and our 90th anniversary, we are grateful for the members who have supported LaGrange County REMC throughout our history — and for those who continue to be part of our cooperative family today.
